Work Experience
Thinking about securing your first job is a daunting experience for anyone, but when you are leaving a small farming village, more often the first in your family to do so, the thought of finding work in anything other than farming or construction feels like an impossible dream.
HUSK's work experience program operates over two years, combining classroom learning with real work practical experience.
We are pleased to see some of our former students returning to their placements in the years following their training and securing jobs. It is with thanks to partners like Little Red Fox, Angkor Golf Resort, Angkor Hospital for Children, Treak Community, Blue Pumpkin, Beyond and many more that this program is able to operate.

the idea
To provide senior students with the opportunity to learn about professional employment. What does it mean to be employed? What are your rights and responsibilities?
We teach everything from the basics of personal hygiene and presentation, how to prepare a CV and be ready for an interview and importantly the expectations employers will have.
the program
Year 1 - Students initially undertake classroom training covering a wide range of topics to prepare them for entering the workforce.
Year 2 - Students undertake a classroom program and then participate in a two week placement program with a range of businesses and organisations in Siem Reap.
